How to Get Lucky on Purpose

Hey Reader

Remember Chris? The guy I met at the conference I attended earlier this month in Orlando? I talked about him in last week’s newsletter.

He was the guy that I helped boost his social confidence through my enthusiasm.

But I didn’t tell you about Eric, the guy who helped me while I was at the conference.

To give you some background:

Currently, I want to connect more with the Gen Z community and better understand their struggles with navigating today’s world. Especially in the areas of socializing and self-confidence.

(Plus, I low-key want to feel young, hip, and cool…no cap!)

To do this, I need to talk to more Gen Z’s. But most of my social circle consists of Millennials and older.

So I put my intentions out there in the universe…and Eric responded.

Enter the Stage: Eric

I met Eric at the same cocktail reception during the conference and told him what I was trying to accomplish with Limitless Living.

Eric immediately recommended that I talk to someone. He told me about a woman he met the day before at a completely different event. She runs a cool startup in Orlando.

Her startup aims to match college students with working professionals for 1:1 mentoring. The kicker is that her platform uses artificial intelligence to identify the perfect match based on the criteria of the students and the mentors. A very cool concept!

I immediately expressed interest. I saw this as the perfect opportunity to connect with Zoomers and have personalized conversations with them. Eric gave me the CEO’s contact information.

I talked to Eric for about 5 minutes and never saw him again

After the conference, I sent the woman an email and introduced myself. I got a response from her 2 days later, and we set up a video call to chat further.

We spoke to each other and had an amazing conversation. She loved what I was doing with Limitless Living and I loved what she was doing with her company. She even wanted to introduce me to her son, a Zoomer who originally had the idea for the company, and potentially collaborate with me on social media content.

I got off the call feeling energized as the possibilities of what I could do started flooding into my mind.

Getting Lucky

Why am I sharing this, Reader?

I want to highlight a lesson here: there is magic in simply putting yourself out there.

The conference I attended was about building wealth through stocks, real estate, and precious metals. It had little to do with what I was accomplishing with Limitless Living.

Yet I knew that by putting myself out there in the world and having intention, something good was going to happen to me.

My connection with this CEO was through a thin thread. Eric was simply a facilitator of that connection. He was placed in front of me for that purpose.

Realize that there are “Eric’s” all around you, everywhere you go. But you won’t meet them unless you also put yourself out there and operate with intention.

Does it take courage? Yes.

Does it take getting outside of your comfort zone? Absolutely!

But what is the cost of not putting yourself out there? What opportunities are you missing out on by playing it safe and not rocking the boat?

People complain about their lack of luck, but when you really observe their behavior, you see they are not even trying to make something happen.

Realize that God WANTS to help those that help themselves.

If you understand this, then you have nothing to fear. You just simply move and put yourself in front of people on a regular basis

The rest gets taken care of.

That is how you get lucky on purpose.

That is the Limitless Living way

Hey Reader, I messed up. I have nothing of substance to share in this weeks newsletter. It’s because I put too much on my plate this past week. I tried to focus on too many things at once. Usually I spend about 2 to 3 days writing a newsletter. But I used time to chase other opportunities and run some non-typical errands (I need a personal assistant!) I couldn't focus and dedicate the time to write a decent message for this week. I felt bummed about it for a moment. But then I realized that...
